How to adjust your silver earrings

Video

As you know, many times the closure of our earrings becomes loose from use and does not have the correct pressure to wear the earring safely in the ear.

Don't worry, we are going to explain how to do it in 2 easy steps so that you can continue enjoying your fashionable earrings. If you prefer, at the end of this page we have an explanatory video on how to do it.

First step

The first thing will be to take the nut or butterfly closure of our earring. As we can see, this clasp has two circles on the sides that are the ones that make the pressure so that the bolt of our earring does not fall off.
In the image above we can see it.

Second step

If the closure is very loose we will see that these circles will be very separated. To adjust the closure of our silver earrings and that they have the correct pressure, we will have to join both circles to recover the pressure of the first day.
It is very simple, we take the closure and from both sides we press inward progressively. Now we can test the pressure again by inserting the earring pin again.
If we still feel that it is somewhat loose, we can repeat the procedure again.

If you are interested, we also have a post where we explain how to clean your silver jewelry comfortably at home and thus learn to care for them.
